TheNewCAPITAList.com is an innovative way to create and fund events of all types while using technology to solve some of the common problems encountered in the traditional event production paradigm. Let's cover the basic problems and solutions to this dilemma.
Problem: Private Event Funding/Risk
Normally, an individual or small group of individuals, has to independently pay all of the deposits and fees related to organizing and producing an event before they can begin to promote the event. This means that the individual or group takes on all of the risk and a major loss if their event does not have the turnout that they hoped for when they originally booked the venue and artists. This also means that the individual or small group receives all of the economic benefits if the event is "sold out" (sells all available tickets).
To overcome this problem, "Tiered Pricing" was developed (more on that below).

Solution: Cooperative Event Funding/Risk
Events on theNewCAPITAList.com solve this problem by offering a Crowdfunding platform to fund events. This platform ONLY ASKS FOR COMMITMENTS TO BUY TICKETS - BUT DOES NOT CHARGE ANYONE'S CARDS UNLESS THERE ARE ENOUGH COMMITMENTS TO "TILT" THE EVENT'S CAMPAIGN! ("Tilt-ing" is what happens when a campaign reaches its funding goal). This way anyone can help make the event happen and contribute to the its success. This effectively distributes the funding, risk, and reward!
IF enough people commit to buying enough tickets to "Tilt" the campaign, THEN the event will happen and will be a success EVEN IF NO ONE ELSE BUYS ANYMORE TICKETS! This is because the promoter/producer always sets the "Tilt" amount high enough to cover the essential needs of the event (venue, artist, sound/lights, security, etc.).

Problem: Tiered Pricing
Normally, THE ONLY WAY TO GET THE CHEAPEST TICKETS to an event is to buy them several months in advance. But, what if you don't have the money to buy them at that time, or what if you are not sure that you are actually going to want to or be able to go several months from now? So, if you don't buy your tickets THE PRICE JUST KEEPS GOING UP! Now, when you do have the money or are sure you can and want to go, THE NEW PRICES MAY BE SO HIGH THAT YOU CAN NOT AFFORD TO GO!
Solution: Cooperative Pricing
Events on theNewCAPITAList.com completely eliminate tiered pricing and replace it with Cooperative Pricing. With the Cooperative Pricing model, individual ticket prices are capped at a reasonable price that IS NOT TIED TO THE TIME YOU PURCHASE THEM and Discounted tickets are based on the quantity of tickets purchased at once by one purchaser NO MATTER WHEN THEY WERE BOUGHT.
This way, you have the choice to buy tickets at the standard price or a discounted price ANYTIME BEFORE ALL OF THE TICKETS ARE SOLD! If you only want to buy one ticket, YOU CAN; and if you want to buy 50 tickets, at a deeply discounted price, YOU CAN!
If you are SERIOUS ABOUT HELPING MAKE THIS EVENT HAPPEN, you can buy multiple tickets at a discount which will help "Tilt" the event causing all participant's commitments to convert into ticket purchases and will give the promoter/producer the funding needed to make the event actually happen! Because the total amount of tickets available is limited and the event promoter/producer guarantees not to sell anymore tickets once sold out, YOU BECOME THE ONLY SOURCE OF TICKETS TO THAT EVENT and you can SELL THOSE TICKETS TO ANYONE FOR ANY PRICE BEFORE THE EVENT HAPPENS! Plus, if you do not sell all of your tickets before the day of the event, WE WILL SELL YOUR LEFTOVER TICKETS FOR YOU AT THE DOOR AND GIVE YOU ALL OF THE PROCEEDS! (See FAQ for details)
This distributes the funding AND THE BENEFITS while almost ELIMINATING THE RISKS! The only way you can lose money on the event, as a discount multiple ticket buyer, is if you do not independently, and/or we are not able to, sell enough of your tickets to others to cover your purchase price. This is why it is recommended to SELL YOUR DISCOUNTED TICKETS FOR FULL PRICE! (We, and your community, frown on "Scalping" them for more than full price - But will not intervene). FOR EXAMPLE, if individual tickets were being sold for $20 and you bought 50 tickets at a 50% discount (total of $500 at only $10 each) you only need to actually sell 25 of those tickets at $20 each (full price) to recover your initial $500 purchase!
